Abstract

The largest part of research is the recording of negative results. If it is impossible to publish this work, then a fundamental part of science is simply invisible.

Experiments are repeated *ad infinitum* using the same parameters because no one knows that they have been done already and have led to a negative result. Just imagine, what could have been achieved with all the time needlessly spent!

Scientists’ work is not valued this way. Research means to try out new things. Until an experiment is done, no one knows if it will be successful or not. Therefore, success is often decided by chance.
